A man died Saturday night in a vehicle fire near Citrus Boulevard and Pineapple Court in Martin County. Deputies and Martin County Fire Rescue responded just after 9 p.m. to reports of a fully engulfed truck off the side of the road. First responders discovered the driver deceased inside the vehicle, with remains burned beyond recognition.
The incident was initially suspected to be a traffic crash-related fire. However, investigators at the scene ruled out a collision as the cause after a thorough examination.
