TCCEED placed 61 Treasure Coast students in paid summer internships this year as the second-year initiative doubled employer participation. The program saw applications from Treasure Coast students triple compared to the first year.
The expansion marks significant growth for the workforce development initiative connecting local students with paid work experience. Employers from across the Treasure Coast participated in the program.
The internship program provides students with hands-on job experience while earning wages during the summer months. TCCEED coordinates placements between participating employers and eligible students from the region.
The initiative runs through the summer season, with students completing their internships at local businesses and organizations throughout Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River counties.
