Corrections Policy

We would rather be corrected than be wrong.

Treasure Coast Today is committed to accuracy. When we make a mistake, we fix it promptly and openly. This page explains how to report an error and how we handle corrections.

How to report an error

If you believe something we published is inaccurate, email corrections@treasurecoast.today with the headline or link to the story and a clear description of what you believe is wrong. If you can point us to a source for the correct information, that helps us review it faster.

How we handle corrections

  • Factual errors are corrected as soon as we have confirmed the correct information.
  • When we correct a material error in a published story, we update the article and, where appropriate, note that a correction was made.
  • Clarifications are added when a story is accurate but could be misunderstood.
  • Updates are made when a developing story changes after publication.

Our commitment

We review every correction request we receive. We do not ignore credible reports of errors, and we do not quietly delete stories to avoid acknowledging a mistake. Transparency is part of earning your trust.
