Jimy Alvarenga Ramirez crashed the front of his SUV into 3rd Base Liquors in Port St. Lucie Friday night before fleeing the scene on foot, according to the Port St. Lucie Police Department. After the crash, witnesses provided a description of the driver, allowing officers to review surveillance footage and locate Alvarenga Ramirez several blocks away, where police said he was attempting to hide.
No one was injured in the crash. Alvarenga Ramirez was booked into the St. Lucie County Jail on charges including DUI, leaving the scene of a crash, and resisting arrest.
