Los Angeles man sentenced to life in prison for selling fentanyl that killed Vero Beach man

Alfonso Guerrero, 39, of Los Angeles was sentenced to life in federal prison for selling fentanyl that caused the death of David Eller of Vero Beach. Guerrero was convicted by a federal jury in May 2026 of distributing fentanyl resulting in death.

Court evidence showed Guerrero sold a tenth of a gram of fentanyl to Eller on May 16, 2023,
