Stuart man, 65, struck and killed crossing U.S. 1 in St. Lucie County

A 65-year-old Stuart man was struck and killed by a vehicle early Saturday while crossing U.S. 1 south near Mediterranean Boulevard in St. Lucie County, the Florida Highway Patrol confirmed. The crash occurred around 2:15 a.m. in the 7800 block of the southbound lanes, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office.
