Off-duty St. Lucie County deputy spots burglary suspect, leads to arrest near Port St. Lucie
An off-duty St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office deputy spotted and helped capture a suspected burglar Friday in the Spanish Lakes One community near Port St. Lucie. Herman Nettles, 44, was taken into custody on U.S. 1 after the deputy recognized him from an internal alert about burglaries in the 55-plus community.
