A 6-year-old corgi named Luna was reunited with her owner after disappearing during the EF-0 tornado that struck Port St. Lucie. Luna went missing from the Bay St. Lucie community after the storm forced open the front door of Molly Wing-Berman's home.
Wing-Berman had taken shelter in a laundry room with another dog as the tornado approached. She believed Luna was hiding under a bed, but after the storm passed the family could not find her inside the house or in the yard.
Neighbors eventually located Luna about three streets away. Wing-Berman said the dog was shaking when she was found and stayed close to her after returning home. It was not clear whether the tornado's winds carried Luna away from the house or whether she ran outside after being frightened by the storm.
The reunion came as residents across the neighborhood continued cleaning up damage left by the tornado.
