Indian River County Sheriff's Office employee dies in Brevard County vehicle crash

The Indian River County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday that Civilian Corrections Assistant Cassi Taylor died in a vehicle crash in Brevard County. Taylor joined the Indian River County Sheriff's Office on July 20, 2026, and was scheduled to be officially sworn in on Monday, Aug. 31.
