A Flood Advisory is in effect for parts of Martin County through this afternoon as onshore winds pull in repeated showers and storms from the Atlantic. Winds out of the northeast are gusting up to 25 mph, producing a pronounced flow that will continue to drive scattered rain bands across the area on and off throughout the day.
Small Craft Advisories will activate this afternoon for boaters along the coast. The northeast flow creating the flood risk will also generate rough conditions on local waters.
Conditions will remain partly cloudy between the rain bands, with high temperatures reaching the upper 80s. The streaming showers are expected to continue as long as the northeast wind pattern persists.
The advisories reflect the combination of persistent moisture moving onshore and gusty winds that will affect both land and marine areas through the afternoon hours.
