Port St. Lucie Polls Residents on Paying $11 More a Month for Extra Trash Pickup

Port St. Lucie is asking residents in a nonbinding straw poll whether they would support paying roughly $11 more per month, about $131 more a year, for a second weekly trash pickup. Residents currently get one garbage pickup per week, and the additional service could start in 2028 if the City Council decides to move forward.
