South 25th Street in St. Lucie County is closed to through traffic between Fort Pierce Central High School at Cobra Pride Way and the entrance to Forest Grove Middle School at Bulldog Drive because of flooding, county officials announced Wednesday.
Officials said flooding caused unsafe road conditions along the stretch. The closure comes as St. Lucie Public Schools announced schools will remain closed Thursday, Nov. 5, for another day as the county continues dealing with widespread flooding.
Drivers are urged to use caution in the area and find alternate routes. Anyone with questions about the road closure can contact the county's Public Works Engineering Division at 772-462-1707.
