The King's Landing development project in downtown Fort Pierce is advancing with construction milestones on ten luxury villas, condos, retail spaces, restaurants, a parking garage, and a hotel. Brooke Harris, Team Lead of the Beachfront Brooke Team powered by Keller Williams Realty, said two residences have been sold and are nearing completion. Construction crews are almost finished with Villas 9 and 10, and the foundation has already been laid for Villas 7 and 8. The project includes a signed agreement with Marriott Hotel.

The development is located in the waterfront district near the city marina and historic downtown Fort Pierce. Harris said the location provides walkability to shopping, restaurants, and retail, with boat storage available at the marina for residents. The project connects downtown to Edgartown.

Michelle Chaffee Cavalcanti, executive director of Main Street Fort Pierce, said the development has the potential to impact local businesses by bringing in visitors and providing a place for families to stay. She said the project creates a destination where people can walk, shop, live, and play. Business owners are optimistic about having more residents in the downtown area with most amenities within walking distance.

Chaffee Cavalcanti said the walkability means residents can visit a restaurant and then walk to another business afterwards to shop and get information. She said it becomes an experience and not just a singular destination. The estimated completion date is November 2029.
