The King's Landing development project in downtown Fort Pierce is advancing with construction milestones on ten luxury villas, condos, retail spaces, restaurants, a parking garage, and a hotel. Brooke Harris, Team Lead of the Beachfront Brooke Team powered by Keller Williams Realty, said construction is nearly complete on Villas 9 and 10, with foundations already in place for Villas 7 and 8.
Two residences have been sold and are nearing completion. A Marriott Hotel will be part of the development after the company signed an agreement.
The project sits in the waterfront district near the city marina and historic downtown Fort Pierce. Harris said the location connects downtown to Edgartown and provides walkability to shopping, restaurants, and retail. Residents with boats can store them at the marina.
Michelle Chaffee Cavalcanti, executive director of Main Street Fort Pierce, said the development could have significant impact on local businesses by bringing in visitors and giving residents a place for their families to stay. She said the downtown area will become an experience where people can walk, shop, live, and play.
Business owners said having more residents downtown will benefit the area because most amenities are within walking distance. Chaffee Cavalcanti said people can walk to a restaurant and then go to another business to shop and get information. Officials said the estimated completion date is November 2029.
