Driver arrested for speeding through Fort Pierce school zone on first day of classes

A driver was arrested for allegedly speeding through a school zone on the first day of school in Fort Pierce, according to police. The incident happened on Virginia Avenue near Lawnwood Elementary School.

Police said 24-year-old Miguel Angel Hernandez-Hernandez was driving 43 mph in a 20-mph school zone, more than double the posted speed
