A grease fire inside the garage of a Port St. Lucie home ignited a propane tank explosion Friday afternoon that destroyed nearly everything a family of four owned. St. Lucie County Fire District received the initial call at 1:24 p.m. for a fire at a home in the 100 block of Carmelite Street after neighbors spotted smoke and called 911.
