Early voting ends Saturday in Indian River County, ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Voters casting ballots during early voting may use any open early voting site in their county.

On Election Day, polls will open at 7 a.m., and voters must cast their ballots at their assigned polling place. Voters can check their polling location, sample ballot and county-specific voting information through their Supervisor of Elections office before heading out.

Vote-by-mail ballots must reach the local elections office by 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.

The ballot includes statewide contests for governor, U.S. Senate and attorney general. Republican Byron Donalds faces Democrat David Jolly for governor, Republican Ashley Moody faces Democrat Angie Nixon for U.S. Senate, and Republican James Uthmeier faces Democrat Jose Javier Rodriguez for attorney general. Congressional and state legislative races also will appear on ballots. Local races and ballot questions depend on a voter’s address.

Voters also will decide Amendment 3, which would increase the homestead exemption for non-school property taxes and lower the annual cap on assessment increases for certain non-homestead properties. The proposal also would limit how local governments can use property tax revenue. Supporters say it would provide tax relief, while local governments and public agencies have warned it could reduce funding for services. A proposed constitutional amendment needs at least 60% voter approval to pass.
