Drivers across the Treasure Coast should prepare for a busy week of construction impacts beginning Sunday, Sept. 13, with multiple I-95 ramp closures, overnight lane closures and local-road restrictions scheduled in Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties.
The Florida Department of Transportation's Sept. 11-18 traffic report lists some of the most significant impacts around Kanner Highway and High Meadow Avenue in Martin County and Becker Road and Gatlin Boulevard in Port St. Lucie. Several closures have contingency dates in case weather or other conditions delay the work.

Martin County
U.S. 1 from SE Fischer Street to north of SE Decker Avenue: FDOT says the resurfacing project was final-accepted Sept. 10 and all lanes are now open.
I-95 from Bridge Road to the Martin-St. Lucie County line: Two southbound lanes are scheduled to close from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, through Friday, Oct. 30, for signage, milling and resurfacing. Two northbound lanes are scheduled to close from 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. over the same period.
I-95 northbound entrance ramp from Kanner Highway: The ramp is scheduled to close from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16. Traffic will be directed south on Kanner Highway, then to Pratt Whitney Road and east on Bridge Road to reach the northbound I-95 entrance ramp. Thursday, Sept. 17, is listed as the contingency date.
I-95 southbound exit to Kanner Highway, Exit 101: The exit ramp is scheduled to close from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, through Thursday, Sept. 17. Drivers will be sent south to Bridge Road at Exit 96, then east on Bridge Road and back north on I-95 to reach Kanner Highway.
I-95 southbound entrance ramp from Kanner Highway: The ramp is scheduled to close from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, through Thursday, Sept. 17. The detour sends motorists west on Kanner Highway, south on Pratt Whitney Road and east on Bridge Road to the southbound I-95 entrance ramp.
I-95 southbound exit to High Meadow Avenue, Exit 102: The exit is scheduled to close from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, through Thursday, Sept. 17. Drivers will use the Kanner Highway exit, travel east on Kanner Highway and re-enter northbound I-95 to reach High Meadow Avenue.
I-95 southbound entrance ramp from High Meadow Avenue: The ramp is scheduled to close from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, through Thursday, Sept. 17. Drivers will be detoured north on High Meadow Avenue, east on Martin Highway and south on Kanner Highway to the southbound I-95 entrance ramp.
I-95 southbound exit to Bridge Road, Exit 96: The ramp is scheduled to close from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, through Thursday, Sept. 17. The detour sends drivers off I-95 at Kanner Highway, then south on Pratt Whitney Road to Bridge Road.
FDOT says only one of these I-95 ramp closures will occur at a time. Several of the Martin County ramp closures carry contingency dates of Sept. 20-24 if the work cannot be completed as scheduled.
A1A/NE Ocean Boulevard from NE Shore Village Terrace to the Jensen Beach Causeway: One lane in either direction may close intermittently Monday, Sept. 14, through Friday, Sept. 18, for pavement widening and drainage work. Two-way traffic will be maintained by flaggers.
A1A/NE Ocean Boulevard/South Ocean Drive at the Jensen Beach entrance roundabout: The roundabout lane may close intermittently from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, through Thursday, Sept. 17, for lighting installation. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.
Martin Highway between SW Stuart West Boulevard and Citrus Boulevard: One lane may close intermittently in either direction from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, through Thursday, Sept. 17, for milling and resurfacing.

I-95 between Gatlin Boulevard/Tradition Parkway and Becker Road: Two northbound lanes may close from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, through Friday, Sept. 18. Two southbound lanes may close from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. over the same period. Lane shifts are also possible.

U.S. 1 between SE Jennings Road and NW Golden Oak Trail: One lane may close in either direction from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, through Friday, Sept. 18, for sod installation and roadway construction. Another lane closure is scheduled from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, through Friday, Sept. 18, for milling and repaving.
SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard between SW Jordin Avenue and SW Alcantarra Boulevard: One lane may close intermittently in either direction from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, through Friday, Sept. 18.
Several neighborhood roads along the SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard widening project may also see extended closures beginning as early as 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, with reopening expected by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18. FDOT says adjacent roads will not be closed at the same time and access to homes and businesses will be maintained.
SW McCall Road between SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard and SW Kabane Street: The road may close for drainage and utility work, with detours using SW McHord Road and SW Kabane Street.
SW McHord Avenue between Port St. Lucie Boulevard and SW Kabane Street: The road may close, with traffic detoured through nearby side streets including SW McCall Road or SW McDevitt Avenue depending on direction.
SW Koler Avenue between SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard and SW Kober Road: The road may close, with detours using SW McCall Road, SW Kober Road and other nearby streets.
SW McDevitt Avenue between SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard and SW Kabane Street: The road may close, with signed detours through nearby neighborhood streets.
SW McComb Avenue between SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard and SW Jamros Street: The road may close, with detours using SW Findlay Street, SW McCracken Avenue, SW Lachine Street, SW Koler Avenue, SW Jamros Street or SW McCoy Avenue depending on direction.
SW McCoy Avenue between SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard and SW Jamros Street: The road may close, with motorists detoured through SW McComb Avenue and SW Jamros Street.
Eastbound SW Paar Drive between SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard and SW McCandless Street: The road may close, with detours using SW Jordin Avenue, SW McCrory Street, SW Jaffe Avenue and SW McCandless Street, or SW Jaslo Avenue and SW McCain Street.
Westbound SW Paar Drive between SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard and SW Jaqust Street: The road may close, with detours using SW Jordin Avenue and SW Jaqust Street or SW McCullough Avenue, SW McIntyre Street, SW Jaslo Avenue and SW Jarmer Road.
I-95 between Glades Cut Off Road and just south of Okeechobee Road: Shoulder lanes may close from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, through Friday, Sept. 18, as needed for guardrail, Intelligent Transportation Systems and drill-shaft work.
A1A North Causeway in Fort Pierce: The new fixed bridge is open, but the eastbound and westbound bicycle lanes and the shared-use path on the north side remain closed. Pedestrians are being directed to the south-side sidewalk, and the observation deck at the west end remains closed during construction.
Intracoastal Waterway at the A1A North Causeway: Bridge-demolition work continues to restrict the navigation channel. From Monday, Sept. 14, through Wednesday, Sept. 23, the channel is expected to provide about 40 feet of horizontal clearance. Mariners are being asked to use caution and proceed slowly through the work zone.

66th Avenue at Oslo Road: One lane may close nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday through Oct. 15, with flaggers maintaining two-way traffic.
74th Avenue at Oslo Road: One lane may close nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday through Oct. 15.

S.R. 510/90th Avenue between Sebastian Boulevard and 87th Street: One lane may close intermittently in either direction from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, through Friday, Sept. 18, for roadway construction.
A1A/Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway at Sebastian Inlet: FDOT is planning a major traffic shift beginning about 7 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, weather permitting. Northbound and southbound traffic will move onto temporary pavement around the bridge work zone, with the temporary pattern expected to remain through late 2028. If delayed, FDOT says the shift should occur by Oct. 1.
A1A/Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway between the Sebastian Inlet State Park south and north entrances: One northbound or southbound lane and/or shoulder may close as needed through September, generally 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Only one lane is expected to close at a time.
Sebastian Inlet State Park north and south parking lots: Portions of both lots remain closed around the clock for bridge construction. The park and remaining parking areas remain open, but the observation decks under both sides of the bridge remain closed and access to the south jetty from the South Parking Lot is closed.

FDOT says construction schedules can change because of weather or other unforeseen conditions. Drivers traveling through active work zones should allow extra time, watch for shifting traffic patterns and follow posted detour signs.
